RagePAD Sells Out After Viral Success — Over 100 Orders a Day Leading Into the Holidays

RagePAD, the innovative desktop punching pad designed by teen inventor Maxim Harris, has experienced an unprecedented surge in popularity. Following a feature on News 12’s segment, “Valley Cottage Teen Turns Illness Into Innovation With RagePAD,” RagePAD quickly went viral on social media, amassing over 1.5 million views on Instagram and TikTok and driving sales to over 100 orders per day at its peak — completely selling out available stock in the days leading up to Christmas.
From Personal Challenge to Innovative Solution
Maxim Harris, a teen from Valley Cottage who has spent years managing cancer, developed RagePAD as a safe, desk-friendly outlet for gamers and anyone facing frustration at a desk. Maxim’s personal experience inspired the product: he needed a way to release energy without risking injury or damaging his desk. Traditional desktop punching devices often include springs or hard components that can hurt users or break easily, so he designed a soft, resilient alternative.
RagePAD began as a small-scale invention, but its thoughtful design and clear purpose made it perfect for anyone needing a safe stress outlet — from gamers to students to home office workers.
The Viral Spark
The turning point came with the News 12 feature highlighting Maxim’s story and invention. The segment was quickly shared on RagePAD’s social media accounts, and orders started rolling in.
“As soon as the story aired, we started getting like 15 orders a day — it was really exciting,” recalls Maxim.
Then his social media manager, who happens to also be his big brother, got ahold of the story. “Hours after he tweaked the post, it started to gain real momentum,” said Maxim.
The post captured the imagination and hearts of viewers across the country. Within days, the video went viral, reaching over 1.5 million views and sparking a tidal wave of orders from people eager to get a RagePAD in time for the holidays.
A Holiday Scramble
The viral popularity created both excitement and logistical challenges. Maxim was facing over 100 orders per day to pack and ship. Maxim worked tirelessly to fulfill each order, driven by memories of the joy of opening gifts on Christmas Day when he was younger. Boxes flew out the door, shipping labels were printed late into the night, and when he wasn’t at school or sleeping, he was fulfilling orders to ensure customers would receive their RagePADs before Christmas.
“This was all happening so fast,” Maxim recalls. “It was a whirlwind trying to get everything out on time. I never expected that many orders a day, and with my limited energy, it was a real struggle to get through them. Knowing that it might help make some kids’ holidays better kept me going.”
Looking Ahead: 2026 and Beyond
Even as the last of the holiday orders shipped, plans for 2026 were already underway. Maxim has ordered additional stock, expected to arrive early in the new year, ensuring that more gamers can get their hands on the product. He is also investigating fulfillment agreements to ensure that he can keep up with spikes in order volume when they occur again.
In addition, at least one new color option is planned, giving customers more ways to personalize their RagePAD experience. With the combination of restocked inventory and new designs, 2026 promises to be an exciting year for the innovative desktop punching pad.
Giving Back While Giving Rage Relief
RagePAD’s success is about more than just sales. A portion of every purchase goes to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, supporting children and families in need. For customers, that means their purchase provides a safe outlet for stress while also contributing to a greater cause.
